John Bottone, L.M.H.C, is a GCLI graduate, Trainer, and Staff member of GCLI. A graduate of Long Island University, he holds a Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health Counseling. He has also trained at the Process Therapy Institute in New Haven, and is on the leadership and supervision staff at Shalom Mountain Retreat and Study Center. He maintains a private practice in Melville, Long Island, NY.
Christian Caputo, LCSW is a GCLI graduate, Trainer, and Executive Staff member. A graduate of the Stony Brook School of Social Work, Chris maintains a private psychotherapist practice in Manorville, NY.
Andrea Quatrale, L.C.S.W., is the GCLI Director of Training, a graduate of GCLI, Executive Staff member and Trainer. A graduate of the Hunter College School of Social Work, she maintains a private practice in East Patchogue, Long Island, NY working with adolescents and adults.
Diane L. Roach, L.C.S.W, is the GCLI Associate Director, GCLI graduate, Executive Staff member, & Trainer. She is a graduate of Adelphi University School of Social Work and is an Executive Coach and Mentor with over 20 years experience in Sales & Marketing, Leadership Training & Professional Development. Diane is a Certified Gestalt therapist and maintains a private practice as a psychotherapist and personal and professional coach.
Carole Rose, L.C.S.W., is the GCLI Executive Director, a GCLI graduate, Executive Staff member and Senior Trainer. A graduate of the Stony Brook School of Social Welfare, she maintains a private psychotherapy and supervisory practice in Port Jefferson, Long Island, NY.
Ruth Samuel, M.Ed., M.S., L.M.F.T., is GCLI graduate, Executive Staff member and Senior Trainer, she maintains a private psychotherapy and supervision practice in Manhattan.
Jill H. Swensen, L.M.H.C, Ph.D. is the GCLI Director of Education,a GCLI graduate, GCLI Executive Staff member, Trainer, and liaison to the NYS Education Department for GCLI. She holds a Ph.D. from Hofstra University and maintains a private psychotherapy practice in Babylon, NY.
Peter Turkl, L.C.S.W., is a GCLI graduate, Senior Trainer and Staff member. A graduate of Hunter College School of Social Work, he completed family and couples programs at Northport Hospital and Bronx State Hospital. He currently specializes in couples therapy and working with teenagers and young adults.
Phyllis Zaslav, M.S., L.M.F.T., is a GCLI graduate, on the GCLI Executive Staff and is a Senior Trainer and Faculty member. She maintains a private psychotherapy and supervision practice in Queens.
Helaine Loeb, administrative assistant, has been with GCLI since its inception. She is the backbone of the Center, and oversees all administrative, financial and organizational responsibilities.
Jerome Gold, Ed.D, L.C.S.W., Director Emeritus, co-founder of GCLI, and Professor Emeritus, CUNY, where he was Head, Division for Programs in Human Development. A graduate of Columbia University and the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy & Training.
Joyce Magid, M.S., L.C.S.W., was the Executive Director and Senior Trainer. A graduate of Queens College, SUNY Stony Brook School of Social Welfare, and the Gestalt Center of Long Island, she maintained a private psychotherapy and supervision practice in Melville, Long Island, NY for more than 25 years.
